A garment is made ready when someone orders it – to the color, style, and body specification he/she selects. Tianello products are retailed through more than 2000 stores across the United States.
1992 - Tianello was established by founder Steve Barraza. At the time, the company manufactured and sold jeans.
1993 - Tianello expanded beyond jeans and began manufacturing clothing using Bemberg fabrics.
1995 - Steve Barraza purchased a sewing factory and brought operations completely in-house.
1996 - Tianello began using Bemberg and Tencel fabrics exclusively.
2001 - Cupro Georgette was added to the product line.
November 2007 - Steve Barraza visited Africa and established a partnership with the Soul of Africa organization.
February 2008 - The Contemporary Women’s Collection was launched, offering the same prints and Tencel fabrics for younger women in the 20-35 age group.
In 2009 Tianello launched the VICP: Very Important Community Person program. The purpose of the program was to give back to individuals who were making a difference in their communities. Every quarter, the company gives away a $500 Tianello shopping spree to people who are bringing about positive change. Past winners have included churches and teachers. To enter, participants send in photos of themselves wearing Tianello clothing while doing their act of service.
This program provides aid and better facilities to orphans and women in Africa affected by AIDS and also provides jobs, clothing and shoes. Steve Barraza, Tianello founder, recently announced his partnership with the Soul of Africa program by releasing Tianello’s Soul of Africa line of fashion. A portion of the gross earned from SoA garments goes to fund the program.
